E3 Probiotics - Our probiotics
contribute to the health and balance of
the intestinal tract; also referred to as the "friendly", "beneficial",
or "good" bacteria that, when ingested they act to maintain a healthy
intestinal tract and help fight illness and disease.
Why
do you need
a balance of bacteria in your system? The microflora in
your intestine
can provide a protective effect only when a proper balance is
maintained among all the different bacteria that normally reside in
your intestine. If your normal bacteria become depleted or the balance
is disturbed, potentially harmful bacteria can overgrow and become
established, causing digestive and other health problems. These harmful
bacteria are known as pathogenic bacteria, and they have the ability to
cause gastrointestinal problems such as diarrhea or abdominal pain, and
bloating if not kept in check by the beneficial bacteria.
In general, cancer is caused by mutation
or activation of abnormal genes that control cell growth and division.
(A substance that causes a mistake in genes is known as a mutagen).
Most of these abnormal cells do not result in cancer since normal cells
usually out-compete abnormal ones. Also, the immune system recognizes
and destroys most abnormal cells.*
Many processes or exposures can increase
the occurrence of abnormal cells. Precautions that minimize these
exposures decrease the risk of cancer. Among the many potentially risky
exposures are chemical exposures. Cancer-causing chemicals
(carcinogens) can be ingested or generated by metabolic activity of
microbes that live in the gastrointestinal system. It has been
hypothesized that probiotic cultures might decrease the exposure to
chemical carcinogens by (1) detoxifying ingested carcinogens, (2)
altering the environment of the intestine and thereby decreasing
populations or metabolic activities of bacteria that may generate
carcinogenic compounds, (3) producing metabolic products (e.g.,
butyrate) which improve a cell's ability to die when it should die (a
process known as apoptosis or programmed cell death), (4) producing
compounds that inhibit the growth of tumor cells, or (5) stimulating
the immune system to better defend against cancer cell proliferation.*
Research suggests that the consumption
of probiotic cultures may decrease cancer risk*.

harmful bacteria can overgrow and become established, causing digestive
and other health problems.
These harmful bacteria are known as
pathogenic bacteria, and they have the ability to cause
gastrointestinal problems such as diarrhea or abdominal pain if not
kept in check by the beneficial bacteria. The potential mechanisms of
their action include competitive bacterial interactions, production of
antimicrobial metabolites, mucosal conditioning, and immune modulation.
The emerging use of probiotics in several gastrointestinal disorders
(e.g., inflammatory bowel disease) has
led to increased interest in their use in patients with IBS.
Vision's probiotics are a proprietary
blend of microbes that exist commonly and are natural inhabitants of
soils and freshwater, they also exist on organically grown fruits and
vegetables.

Information
Stomach Acid Protection — Unprotected forms of probiotics
(powders, foods, plain capsules) entering the harsh, acidic environment
of the stomach can experience losses of viable organisms of up to 100%.
Studies show that it is highly unlikely that an unprotected probiotic
supplement will ever deliver more than 5 to 10% of its viable payload
past the stomach successfully.
Our probiotic caplets function by forming a gel layer around the tablet
(or fragments thereof) when the outermost surface is moistened by
fluids in the stomach (see cross-section illustration). This layer
forms a semi-permeable pH-controlled protective layer between harsh
(low pH) stomach fluids and the sensitive probiotic organisms contained
in the drier core of the tablet. As the tablet moves past the stomach
into the higher pH of the duodenum and below, the tablet releases
probiotic organisms in a viable state to flourish and colonize
successfully in the intestinal tract.
Genetically Modified Organisms (GMO) — All of our probiotic
cultures are naturally derived isolates, without genetic modifications
(non-GMO). The standard carrier used in non-GMO identity preserved corn
maltodextrin. Maltodextrin is a polysaccharide that is used as a food
additive. It is produced from starch and is usually found as a
creamy-white hygroscopic powder. Maltodextrin is easily digestible,
being absorbed as rapidly as glucose.
BSE — No bovine tissue ingredients or derivatives are used in
the manufacture of these probiotics.
Gamma — Our probiotics have not been irradiated and are gamma
free.
Heavy Metal — Representative samples of the raw materials and
cultures used to produce our probiotics have been tested by the USP28
<231> procedure and contain less than 1 ppm heavy metals.
Contains Milk — This product may contain residual trace
amounts of milk proteins from the fermentation process.
Heat During Tableting — The probiotics are checked after the
tableting process to ensure that the client receives the listed amount
of life organisms.
Children — There are no contraindications for children.
Suggested age is starting at 5.
Handling Instructions — Refrigeration is necessary to prolong
shelf live of live organisms.
Shelf Life — 18 months from blend date. Information is posted
on bottom of bottle.
Allergen — This product does not contain, nor has it been
processed with any of the following materials: Soy, Wheat, Tree nuts,
Peanuts, Eggs, Fish, Crustacean Shellfish, Bee Pollen, or Gluten.
Although our fermentation media contains dairy constituents,
representative samples of the carriers and cultures used have tested
negative (<2.5 ppm) for dairy allergen protein.Just some of the
great benefits of E3 Probiotics.
